Staff Member Feature: Kelli Price

Our featured staff member this month is Kelli Price. Kelli was first introduced to ICTC in 2013 as a camper. She came to the camp with no background in tennis, but found her passion in the poetry component. At the end of her first summer at ICTC, Kelli was selected to go to Cincinnati for a day at the Western & Southern Open. Her favorite memory was meeting and talking with Venus Williams.

Kelli made the transition to staff in 2015 as a poetry instructor, and this is her first year as a lead. Her teaching agenda is well-organized, and all of her students are attentive and engaged. Her favorite memory occurred this year when one of her students came up and thanked her for pushing her to practice her poetry performances and giving her the confidence to do it.

When Kelli is not at ICTC she works with dogs at Paws Play in downtown Cleveland and watches The Office. She also has aspirations to create a rap album with Esyterica, another ICTC staff member. Kelli graduated in May from the Cleveland School of the Arts, and will attend Central State in the fall to major in business entrepreneurship. Career-wise she wants to start non-profit organizations that expose children to the performing arts.
