General Information:
All positions require both a background check through Net Generation (along with Safe Play training) as well as a resume. Participants must be 16 years old to apply. All staff positions are paid, and wages depend on age and experience. Please use the form on this page to inquire about positions.
Fitness Strength Conditioning Assistants
Assistants will aid and assist the Fitness Lead in the implementation of the curriculum. The focus will be on strength, agility, and endurance,- skills that will help students become better tennis players. Prior experience in the sports youth development field is preferred.
Literacy Assistants
Assistants will work hands-on with students who are learning how to read, improving their writing skills, or working on hands-on projects. Employees will also aide and assist the Literacy Lead on a daily basis, collect pre and post-tests and administer the curriculum set forth by the program. Prior experience in the education field is preferred but not necessary.
Poetry Slam Assistants
Applicants will work hands-on with students who are learning how to perform, create and understand poetry. Employee will also aide and assist the Poetry Slam Lead on a daily basis, collect pre and post-testing materials and administer the curriculum set forth by the program. Prior experience in poetry performance is preferred.
Wellness and STEM Assistants
Staff will work hands-on with students who are learning the benefits of wellness, STEM, and healthy living. Employee will also aid and assist the Wellness and STEM Lead on a daily basis, collect pre-and post-tests and administer the curriculum set forth by the program. Prior experience in the science education field is preferred.
Tennis Assistants
Tennis staff will work hands-on with students who are learning how to play and understand the basic tenants of tennis. The employee will also aid and assist the Tennis Leads on a daily basis, help students compete in weekly tournaments, and administer the curriculum set forth by the program. Prior experience in tennis is necessary.
Administrative Assistant to the Camp Director
Assistants will work hands-on with the Camp Director. Great organization, computer, and multi-tasking skills are a must. Duties include tracking attendance, organizing field trips, posting on social media, and reporting to parents. The applicant must be available 4 weeks prior to the program for administrative and organizational duties.
Counselors
Counselors will work directly in the supervision of the campers. Great communication skills and patience with children are necessary. Duties include tracking attendance, managing groups of children, interacting with and managing any issues with campers, and reporting to staff with any problems. Counselors are responsible for moving children between components and participating with them in each rotation.
